Samuel Vásquez González

Panamenian, Industrial Administrative Engineer, Postgraduate in Pedagogical and Curricular Management and Master in Engineering Sciences with Specialization in Economic Engineering from the Catholic University of Santa María la Antigua (USMA) in Panama, and studies of Master in Entrepreneur Development and Innovation from the University of Salamanca , Spain.  Actually, Professor of Entreprneurship in Specialized Higher Technical Institute,  and member and researcher of the Department of Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Center for Research, Educational Innovation, Science and Technology.

Professor of the Faculties of Engineering and Architecture of the USMA for 30 years. He has been Director of the School of Industrial Administrative Engineering, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology (now Faculty of Engineering and Technology) and Dean of Postgraduate Studies at USMA. Since 2012, he is Coordinator of the Center for Support to Entrepreneurs and Business Development (CAEDE, for its acronym in Spanish) of the USMA, through which he is developing actions and projects to promote entrepreneurial and business culture, both internally and externally of the University, in the local and international level.

In addition, he has participated, on behalf of the USMA, in various international projects with the support of the European Union, in relation to entrepreneurial culture, social innovation and support to micro and small enterprises, such as the BUILD Project (already completed, 2012 - 2014), the LASIN Project and the IRUDESCA Project, the latter two being implemented to date, and like an ERASMUS + project.

He has published several researches on the Entrepreneurial Intention in university students and National Coordinator of the Research Project in Entrepreneurial Education in Latin America (IEEL) with the Chair of Entrepreneurs of the University of Salamanca. Representing the USMA, it has participated in the generation and strengthening and the strategy for the promotion of the entrepreneurial culture throughout the country as part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem promoted by the Authority for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (AMPYME, for its acronym in Spanish), as well as also with the National Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation (SENACYT) and the Innovation Center of the City of Knowledge.
