Sana Khurana

Sana is a passionate advocate for lifelong learning, embodying this belief in her own life. After earning her degree in Business Management, she spent several years as a Senior Manager in Marketing Communications. However, her journey took a transformative turn when she became a mother.

Driven by a desire to provide her children with the best experiential education, she immersed herself in the fields of experiential learning and education. This pursuit led her to reinvent the ancient art of game-based learning, co-founding a pioneering company that received global recognition for its innovative educational programs.

Alongside this, her passion for emotional and mental health inspired her to study holistic sciences and self-development. She acquired various additional qualifications, becoming a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, a Creative Arts and Dance Movement Therapist, and a Personal Transformation Coach and Change Enabler. Leveraging her diverse skills, she actively engages in volunteering efforts to support women and children who have experienced sexual and emotional abuse, integrating this work into her broader commitment to personal transformation and community well-being.

In 2019, after facing significant personal challenges, she and her two sons immigrated to Canada with limited resources and no validation of her qualifications and experience. Undeterred by these obstacles, she reinvented herself once again by acquiring Sylvan of Toronto, which she successfully sold last year. Today, she proudly represents her small business, Sylvan Learning of Halifax Regional Municipality, embodying her life motto, which incidentally also coincides with the brand beliefs of Sylvan: "Education is everything, and learning should be personalized."
