Sebastián Bustamante

Sebastián is a Management Engineer and MBA graduate from the European School of Management in Madrid, with additional studies in City Health Diplomacy from the Graduate Institute in Geneva. He is also an Accelerate UK graduate and has completed studies in Impact Management for the SDGs at Duke University, as well as in Digital Societies and the Internet of Things at Linnaeus University in Sweden. He recently graduated from a master's program in Sustainability Science, Environment, and Decision Making at the University of Gävle in Sweden.

With over 16 years of experience in the private, educational, and entrepreneurial sectors, Sebastián has an extensive track record in sustainability, innovation, partnerships management, business development, and project management. He has earned 12 national and international awards as an entrepreneur and is a Fellow of both the UNLEASH Lab 2017 in Denmark and the Americas Project from Rice University's Baker Institute in Texas.

His professional career covers several countries, including Spain, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay, and he has visited 55 countries. Throughout his career, Sebastián has managed over 300 people and has participated as an international speaker at more than 80 national and international conferences.

Sebastián co-founded and led the Impact Hub in Medellin, Cali, the re-launch of Bogotá and Barranquilla in Colombia. Since 2018, he has helped build a community of over 2,000 organizations in Colombia, deploying more than 70 programs with the participation of over 3,000 SMEs. In these programs, Sebastián has been involved in all major stages, including concept and ToC design, fundraising, planning, recruiting, operation, and M&E, with a strong focus on relationship and partnership building.

Currently, Sebastián serves as the Entrepreneurship Programme Manager at Climate-KIC (www.climate-kic.org), where he focuses on program delivery, fundraising task force coordination, and global ESO community development and he is the Enterprise Europe Network (een.ec.europa.eu) Colombia Coordinator.
