Oluwasegun Akande

Segun Akande is a dynamic technology consultant and business strategist with 2 decades of experience. He is currently the CEO/Lead Consultant at Xown Solutions Limited, where he leads digital transformation initiatives, offering strategic consulting services to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK and Nigeria to leverage technology for business growth and efficiency. From 2014 till date, he has built a thriving digital consulting firm with operations in Nigeria and started operation officially in UK in 2023. Under his leadership, Xown Solutions developed and implemented innovative technology solutions for businesses, focusing on areas such as digital strategy, web development, and IT consulting. His leadership and strategic foresight helped the company expand into new markets and adapt to the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

At Globe Digital Media in the UK, Segun worked as a Digital Consultant in 2012–2013, providing high-impact digital marketing and web development services.
In 2011, he served as the Team Lead for Digital Communication at Dangote Group. Here, he was responsible for managing the company’s digital communication strategy, driving engagement, and enhancing brand visibility.
From 2006 to 2011, Segun worked as an EFT/Web Developer at Oceanic Bank (now Ecobank), where he spearheaded the development of electronic funds transfer (EFT) systems and played a critical role in advancing the bank’s online banking capabilities.
Earlier in his career, he gained valuable web development experience at Qhost Webs (2004–2006), developing user-friendly web apps for clients in Lagos, Nigeria.
Segun is a recognized expert in Growth Hacking, having conducted workshops that teach businesses how to leverage on technology to achieve exponential growth. He leverages data-driven insights and digital tools to help companies increase their market reach and improve conversion rates. His expertise in growth hacking is instrumental in helping clients develop sustainable and scalable growth models.
In addition to his growth hacking expertise, Segun has made significant contributions to the cybersecurity space, through the implementation of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), among other cybersecurity solutions and services.
With multiple certifications from Harvard Business School that earned him Certificate of Specialization in Strategy, he also has certification in AI and Machine Learning from MIT and holds a Master of Science.
