Dr. Sonia Saleem

Dr. Sonia is the Chief Executive Officer/ Founder of Smart Education Technologies Group which includes Socio Engineering Technologies (Pakistan) and SETI (UAE) and Xinnovate (UK). She has an MSc in Strategic Project Planning and Management from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh Scotland, UK in 2008, and a fellowship in StrategicProject Marketing and Management from Harvard University in 2011. She is officially an active alumnus of Harvard Business School and Herriot Watt University, Scotland. She is recently Awarded by the president of Pakistan for bringing innovation and technology the education field of Pakistan. She is also working as senior vice president at Islamabad women chamber & Industry and Chairperson, Asian Business Forum. Dr. Sonia has been actively involved in initiatives for women's empowerment, working at the intersection of education, technology, and women's empowerment. She is a corporate member of CxO Global, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce, Pakistan Software Export Board, Pakistan Software House Association, DUBAI CHAMBERS, International Association of Innovation Professionals, and UAE Innovation Committee. World Business Hub and UAE Blockchain Initiative. She is Working as Senior Global Advisor with Asssero Group Dubai working for Block Chain and Cryptocurrency. She is also honored to receive The Honorary Doctorate of Excellence and ICON Award for Innovation in Education by EDU European University and ICONS Awards USA. She is a pioneer of introducing International Skilled Certifications in Pakistan and managing to generate employment for the youth of Pakistan locally as well as outside Pakistan. Dr. Sonia has proven ability in formulating high-tech corporate and education improvisation and development program strategies, financial planning, and institutional strengthening. She has a working experience with various leading national and international donors like ADB, USAID, World Bank, USAID in UKAid for Pakistan, Thailand, Malaysia, Bangladesh and United Arab Emirates. She has signed MoUs with around 50 different institutions from United States of America, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, Bangladesh, the Philippine, Sri Lanka and Pakistan and brought potential and high-value partners on the SET Pakistan & SETI UAE panel.
