Soraya Moron

Soraya Morón is a tireless worker, with great experience, knowledge and commitment to the socioeconomic development of Puerto Rico, since she began working as an Administrative Assistant at Puerto Rico’s Industrial Development Company (PRIDCO) in 2003.

For her excellent performances at PRIDCO, in 2004 she obtained the position of Assistant to the Executive Director, in 2009 of Assistant to the Chief Business Development Officer, and in 2018, of Executive Assistant to the Executive Director of the Trade and Export Company, also Deputy Executive Director of PRIDCO and Deputy Secretary of the Department of Economic Development and Commerce of Puerto Rico (DEDC), until May 2021, when she was appointed Assistant Secretary of Strategic Operations of the DEDC, reaffirming her commitment with the public service and the economic development of the island.

As Assistant Secretary of Entrepreneurship and Business Development, she is responsible for promoting efforts aimed at the development and promotion of five key programs, such as Trade and Export, Youth Development, Film Development Industry, Handcraft Development and Free Trade Zones, with the mission of strengthening investment opportunities, job creation and initiatives in favor of Puerto Rican youth.

Soraya Morón is a professional in management and administration aimed at obtaining results. She has a successful track record of achievements in the development of businesses in multiple enterprises and industrial sectors. She has great leadership, excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills, which have also helped her achieve personal and community achievements that transcend our borders by supporting international organizations to help those in need in Venezuela, Cuba and Haiti.

She graduated from the Fermín Toro University in Venezuela, where she obtained, in 1999, a Bachelor of Business Administration (Cum Laude), with a concentration in Management.
