Stefanie Toadvine

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Evolution Family Counseling and Assessment Services, a multidisciplinary behavioral health practice serving individuals and families across Kentucky. With over 15 years of experience in mental health, child welfare, and the family court system, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting vulnerable populations through moments of crisis, transition, and transformation.

I launched Evolution with a mission to bridge clinical excellence and accessibility—providing trauma-informed therapy, targeted case management, supervised visitation, and court-ordered assessments to children, adults, and families navigating both everyday struggles and high-conflict legal matters. My team and I are deeply committed to delivering services that are not only effective, but rooted in respect, dignity, and long-term outcomes.

My background includes extensive work within the family court system, where I’ve served as an expert witness in custody and termination of parental rights cases, conducted forensic mental health and substance abuse assessments, and provided therapeutic supervised visitation. I have years of experience testifying in complex legal matters and understand the critical intersection between behavioral health and the justice system. This has shaped my commitment to high-quality forensic social work and advocacy for court-involved families.

As an entrepreneur, I’m focused on growth that is mission-driven and community-centered. I’m currently developing new service lines, including mitigation specialist services for criminal and juvenile justice cases, and a corporate conflict resolution program designed to help organizations navigate internal staff challenges with emotional intelligence and behavioral insight.

I believe that sustainable change happens when we combine practical systems, ethical leadership, and bold vision. My goal is to continue building services that fill critical gaps—especially for underserved populations—while fostering professional pathways for other clinicians and advocates doing this vital work.
