Steve Cheah

Dato' Steve Cheah is an entrepreneurship ecosystem enabler and advisor with decades of international business and corporate experience. He contributes to community projects as the chair of GEN Thailand, the Diplomatic Council Think-tank, and the UNESCO Entrepreneurship Education Network (EE-net) Thailand National Chapter. He has worked and lived in Malaysia, England, Hong Kong, Myanmar, and Thailand. He serves as a board member and advisor to business chambers, education institutions, corporations and international organizations involved in commercial, educational and community projects with a track record of hosting national and international activities that create opportunities to “internationalize” startups and businesses with key events that include GEN@StartupThailand, Global Entrepreneurship Congress Plus (GEC+ Bangkok), GEN Asia conference, Creative Business Cup (CBC), Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC), Pitch@Palace ASEAN and others. He engages with private sectors and government agencies on education and entrepreneurship development to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem for deeper cross-border collaboration between entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, policymakers, and community leaders. He is the founder of the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN)Thailand affiliated with GEN, a global organization that operates a platform of programs and projects in 180 countries. He founded the Pitch at School Entrepreneurial Mindset Education program designed for school students. Dato' Steve was bestowed royal decorations, including the Malaysian Merit of Order bearing the title of “Dato”. He is also the appointed Head of Mission to Mekong Countries covering China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam and the Chairman of the Think-tank on Innovation, Sustainability., Entrepreneurship and Education with the Diplomatic Council (UNO reg), an organization with special consultative status to United Nations (ECOSOC).
