Sulaimon Adebiyi

Role
Sulaimon is a Senior Lecturer in the Strategy, Analytics and Operations Department at Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University (NTU). Sulaimon holds Ph.D. in Business Administration, a master’s in business administration (MBA), M.Sc. in Business Operations Research and B.Sc. (Hons) Business Administration. He teaches on a few modules: International Strategic Management, Research Methods for Managers, Transformative Business Models and Context of Management.

Career overview
Sulaimon has over a decade Higher Education experience. Before his current appointment, Sulaimon worked as a Senior Lecturer in Business and Management at Bath Spa University (BSU), Lecturer in Business Management at London South Bank University (LSBU), Associate Lecturer in Business Management at Oxford Brookes University (OBU), and Senior Lecturer at some universities in Africa. He has considerable experience in business consultancy, effective teaching and facilitating learning, research, programme, and module leadership, dissertation and thesis supervision at both undergraduate and graduate levels, the external examiner of programmes, dissertation, and thesis, and curriculum, and learning materials development.

Research areas
Sulaimon research focuses on SMEs growth, business strategies and operations by unraveling the effective integration of sustainable practices into the strategies, operations, and decision-making processes using multi-criteria decision-making for stakeholders’ benefit. He is particularly interested in contemporary human-organizational well-being variables as it affects business optimality. In addition, he was part of the team that won TETFUND 2020 and 2021 national research grant projects on the global value chain and strengthening SMEs capacity issues respectively. He has publications in quality peer-reviewed and university-based journals. Sulaimon is open to Ph.D. and Professional doctoral supervision, and multidisciplinary collaborations.

Sulaimon holds membership in the following academic and professional associations: Fellowship Higher Education Academy, UK (FHEA) and Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE). Member British Academy of Management (BAM), Member of the Editorial Board of Binus Business Review and Reviewer to selected journals.
