Dr. Thilak Chaminda is an academic who has made significant contributions to the fields of Education and Computer Science. His academic journey began at the University of Moratuwa (Sri Lanka), where he completed his bachelor's degree in 2006. Following this, he entered the industry as a Software Engineer, gaining practical experience in the field.
Driven by a passion for academic exploration, Dr. Thilak Chaminda pursued further studies and earned his Master's degree in Computer Science in 2009 and a Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2012, both from the University of Aizu (Japan). Notably, he was recognized for his academic excellence with prestigious scholarships, including the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship and the Kubota Fund Scholarship.
With over 12 years of experience in academia, Dr. Thilak Chaminda has not only excelled in teaching but has also played a pivotal role in academic administration. His research interests primarily focus on Data Science and e-Learning, reflecting a commitment to the forefront of technological advancements and educational methodologies.
As a testament to his leadership and organizational skills, Dr. Thilak Chaminda has taken charge of several international conferences as the head of research and development. His active involvement in shaping the academic landscape extends to serving as a reviewer for numerous local and international conferences, contributing to the advancement of research within his areas of expertise.
Dr. Thilak Chaminda has actively participated in curriculum development in various higher educational institutes and has been involved in reviewing educational programs, as a subject expert.
