Tiffany Saade

Tiffany is a rising junior at Stanford University, born and raised in Beirut Lebanon. She is majoring in Political Science and International Relations, focusing on political economy and development, comparative international governance and international security. She is the only Lebanese student in her year, and one of two Lebanese undergraduates who made it to Stanford. Tiffany is the founder of OpportUNITY, a social impact startup based in Lebanon providing equal opportunities in innovative education for all students, especially those in financial difficulty. Her goal is to build the next generation of young, skilled and financially independent leaders, able to innovate their country and invest into its market. She is also part of the World Economic Forum as a member of Global Shapers, Palo Alto Hub. At Stanford, Tiffany is the co-president of the American Middle East Network for Discussion at Stanford, an undergraduate initiative under the Freeman Spoogli Institute (FSI) that supports young entrepreneurs from the Middle East to create and scale their social impact projects through an annual regional conference. She also works for scholars Francis Fukuyama and Abbas Milani. In May 2022, she was a recipient of a Russel Berman Award for excellence in the field of politics at Stanford. As part of the Stanford in Washington, Tiffany was previously working for Ambassador David Hale through the Wilson Center and was an intern at the US Institute for Peace under Robin Wright, managing both platforms, the Iran Primer ans the Islamist. This past summer, Tiffany worked with senior fellow Karim Sadjadpour as a research assistant at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Middle East program on his new book on sexuality and autocratic regimes in the region. She is currently writing her honors thesis through the Center on Democracy Development and the Rule of Law at Stanford with scholar Larry Diamond, on political and economic reform in Lebanon and is learning Farsi.
