Tim Goggin is an author, lecturer, and entrepreneur, who worked as an archaeologist, historian and GIS specialist in the field of Cultural Resource Management until a cancer diagnosis (SCLC) forced his retirement from fieldwork in 2018. Since then he has obtained a Masters degree in Entrepreneurship, written several books, and created multiple small scale ventures.

Cultural Resource Management (the other CRM) revolves around the Historic Preservation Act of 1966, and the National Register of Historic Places. CRM archaeologists and historians are employed to ensure that new ventures such as roads, pipelines, large developments and other land altering endeavors comply with existing regulations. Tim Goggin and thousands of other CRM professionals are there to ensure that the archaeological and historical remnants of America's past are not impacted or destroyed by new developments. Aside from actual boots-on-the-ground research, one of the best ways to learn about a regions past is to get out of the office and talk to the local population. Tim learned that at times you can glean more information from the famers getting breakfast in a local diner than you will spending hours looking at old maps and photographs, and as he worked in 48 US States he has heard plenty of stories. With those conversations came stories of hardship, and unsolved problems, and while he didn't know it at the time, Tim learned quite a bit about how to practice social entrepreneurship at a very real level.

As a cancer survivor, Mr. Goggin obtained direct, firsthand knowledge of the challenges and struggles faced by the millions of people worldwide who are diagnosed every year. Additionally, his life experiences gave him insight into the challenges faced by countless others with medical conditions. Tim Goggin's life was spent "outside the building". His memoir "I Just Need a Little More Time" (available on Amazon) briefly tells of his battle with cancer, and details adventures and travels throughout the USA.

By employing this combination of social entrepreneurship, advanced mapping/GIS, and the scientific method his goal is to create products where the function, operation, and benefits are immediately recognized and in turn utilized by patients, survivors, and care givers alike. His (my) research and development includes products and services that serve the greater good. A generalized list includes:

-Water bottles that are easy to open and don't roll away when knocked over.
-Memory care cards that a person can carry on their person with important details...take your medical records with you anywhere.
-A website/app that is dedicated to long term housing and vacation options for the survivors of conditions like cancer and other illnesses that present challenges.

A current invention/product is in development that will solve one of the most important issues faced by hundreds of millions of people WORLDWIDE.
The DocDock, has been researched, A/B tested, validated, improved, developed, entirely within the Lean Launch process. It is currently in the prototype funding phase and the primary focus of Tim Goggin.

Tim Goggin lives a quiet life in SW Florida with a 12lb Chihuahua mix and is a lecturer for the FGCU Academy adult education program giving lectures on the National Register of Historic Places and the History of Opportunity.
