Tim Bettington

Tim Bettington, a recognized animal health leader with more than 25 years of experience across both livestock and pet health, beginning in his native country Australia, the U.S. and across Europe.   Tim has built some of the industry’s most successful portfolios and overseen some of the most significant commercial businesses in animal health.

Tim currently serves as Elanco’s Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Market Development. In his role, Bettington is responsible for corporate strategy and market development, focusing on launch readiness and driving growth initiatives. Tim also has oversight of Business Development, Government Affairs, Strategy, Data & Analytics, Customer Experience and a focus on AI and Global Innovation.

Tim was formerly Executive Vice President and President, US Operations and Global Customer Experience at Zoetis. Tim led the US Commercial Operations supporting the livestock and companion animal portfolios. Additionally, he led the Global Customer Experience function, where he leveraged his extensive experience in the worldwide animal health industry.

Prior to joining Zoetis in 2020, Tim enjoyed a successful, diverse and global career in the animal health industry for more than 20 years, working both in the livestock and companion animal sectors. He joined Zoetis from Boehringer Ingelheim where he served as North American Region Head of Commercial Operations for its animal health business. In that role, Tim had oversight for the Petcare (Vet and OTC), Cattle, Swine, Equine and Poultry businesses. During his tenure at Boehringer Ingelheim and previously Novartis Animal Health, Tim worked in the US, Europe and Australia and developed a deep expertise in sales excellence, marketing, strategy and business integration.

Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from Western Sydney University and a master’s degree in marketing management from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney.
