Alexis Seloka

Alexis Seloka Rammutla, professionally known as Toddy, is an Inclusive and LSEN Educator, Afrocentric Pedagogue, Equitable EdTech Innovator, and systems strategist working at the intersection of education, inclusion, technology, ethics, and human development.

As the Founder and CEO of Toddy AlphaMorwa NPC, a South African educational development organisation, Alexis works toward the development of more equitable and contextually responsive educational ecosystems. Their work spans inclusive curriculum and assessment design, differentiated learning, learner support, educational technology, policy and framework development, professional learning, and the ethical implementation of digital education systems.

Their practice is informed by Afrocentric pedagogy, critical pedagogy, humanism, neurodiversity-affirming practice, contextual responsiveness, and cognitive justice. Alexis approaches inclusion not simply as an intervention for particular learners, but as a question of design: who systems are designed for, whose knowledge and experiences are recognised, and how educational environments can accommodate diverse ways of thinking, learning, communicating, and participating.

Alexis has also contributed to the broader digital education and governance landscape through strategic work in Diversity, Ethics and Equity with the Global Online Education Regulator (GOER). Their contributions included the development of practical frameworks and resources intended to strengthen ethical, equitable, and inclusive practice within online education.

Their professional practice is deliberately interdisciplinary. Alongside education and educational technology, Alexis has worked across systems development, organisational design, hospitality, employability development, soft-skills education, and human-centred operational systems. This breadth reflects their belief that complex social challenges rarely exist within the boundaries of a single discipline. Schools, workplaces, technologies, organisations, and communities are all human systems, shaped by questions of access, agency, belonging, culture, communication, ethics, and development.

Alexis is particularly interested in connecting grassroots educational realities with institutional and systemic change. Their work considers both the learner experiencing an educational environment and the structures that determine what that environment can become. This perspective allows them to move between practical fieldwork and systems-level thinking without treating either as separate from the other.

At the centre of their practice is a philosophy of stewardship: designing and supporting systems in ways that cultivate human agency, dignity, participation, and development rather than simply prescribing outcomes for people.

Through AlphaMorwa and their wider professional practice, Alexis continues to explore how education can become more inclusive by design, technology more equitable in practice, and educational systems more responsive to the people and communities they are intended to serve.
