Tom Strodtbeck

Tom Strodtbeck is a mentor and advisor to startups, a pitch coach, and twice a company founder. Currently the CEO of Strodtbeck & Company Ltd, Tom works to improve the commercial performance of startup and growth programmes by building up the skills, knowledge and capacity of entrepreneurs and those who support them.

Tom founded his first company, TSRG in 2002, where he focused on helping technology companies improve their customer relationship systems. The firm’s clients included BMW, The US Postal Service and GEA.

In 2005 to 2015, Tom was director of training and international programmes for the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA), a network of over 800 entrepreneurship programmes worldwide. During his ten-years at the association, NBIA dramatically increased its training and development programming. Tom created NBIA’s flagship training programme, The Certificate Programme for Incubator Managers, and which has been delivered on every continent (save Antartica) and translated in Chinese, Spanish, Russian and French.

With Strodtbeck & Company, Tom has collaborated with incubators, accelerators, universities, governments and investors in over 25 countries. Past clients include the Global Accelerator Network, the European Investment Bank, the InfoComm Development Authority of Singapore, The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development in Abu Dhabi, Virginia Tech University, and Santander PLC, among many others.

Originally from Ohio, Tom resides in Liverpool, United Kingdom with his wife Sara. He is a visiting instructor on entrepreneurship at John Moores University. Tom studied music at Ohio University, and is still a passable classical pianist, as well as a photographer and traveller.
