I was born on August 8, 1994, in the picturesque village of Sesfontein, located in Namibia. As a proud member of the Himba tribe, Tukumbavi grew up immersed in rich cultural traditions and values that have shaped his character. He pursued higher education at the Namibia University of Science and Technology, where he graduated with a Diploma in Business Process Management. His academic journey did not stop there; he continued to excel in his studies and is currently in his third year of a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management. Tukumbavi embarked on his professional journey with OBECO, a leading wholesale and retail company in Namibia. Over the course of five years, he gained comprehensive experience by rotating through various departments within the organization. This unique exposure allowed him to understand the intricacies of business operations from multiple perspectives, honing his skills in problem-solving and team collaboration.
His nuanced understanding of the business landscape led him to an exciting opportunity at the Okakarara Vocational Training Centre, where he currently serves as a Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) and Project Coordinator. In this role, Tukumbavi is dedicated to empowering local entrepreneurs and overseeing projects aimed at enhancing vocational training programs. His commitment to community development reflects his belief in the transformative power of education and economic opportunity.
