Major Responsibilities

 To develop extensive research based and resulted-oriented Annual Development Programmes / Project Documents to patronize SMEs in the province.
 To develop Foreign Funded Development projects for SMEs to be executed by PSIC.
 To monitor and evaluate performance of on-going development projects of the Corporation against envisaged objectives / targets set by the Government.
 To maintain close liaison with PSIC field offices for efficient implementation of Annual Development Programmes
 To present physical and financial performance of development programmes before PSIC Management and the Government periodically.
 To prepare project completion reports and their submission to the Government.
 To maintain liaison with Government and International Donors in order to make execution of development projects successful.

Jul. 2020 – Sep. 2021 DEPUTY DIRECTOR (Administration & Coordination) PSIC

Major Responsibilities

 To administer daily matters of PSIC Head Office, Lahore.
 To manage procurements under Annual Development Programmes in competitive manner in light of laid down procedure of the Government.

Dec. 2016 – Jun. 2020 Deputy Cluster Manager – Surgical Cluster, Cluster Development Initiative (CDI)

(A World Bank’s Funded Programme of Punjab Small Industries Corporation implemented in collaboration with United Nations Industrial Development Organization-UNIDO with the aim to enhance competitiveness and productivity improvement of the Punjab’s export oriented Industrial Clusters)

Major Responsibilities

 To conduct Cluster Diagnostic Study of Surgical Cluster of Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan covering development of questionnaire, data collection from cluster key players, statistical review, applying analytical tools, analysis followed by Cluster Diagnostic Study Report.
 To develop cluster action plans in consultation with Cluster stakeholders / Association to address challenges hampering the growth of surgical cluster.
 To develop Competitive Reinforcement Initiatives (CRIs) / Cluster Projects in consultation with UNIDO to enhance competitiveness, productivity improvement and marketing techniques of Surgical Cluster, Sialkot by addressing their short-comings and costly factors of production.
 To organize cluster awareness sessions, workshops, one on one meetings with cluster actors for sensitization and dissemination of globally best practices for manufacturing and export of surgical instruments around the world.
 To coordinate with International Experts for successful implementation of CDI plans and activities including CRIs
 To maintain close liaison with cluster association to get their financial buy-ins in the project.

 To design policies and strategies for implementation of PSIC credit support programmes for SMEs.
 To coordinate with international and national donor agencies to design projects / programmes from available financial window for consideration / approval.
 To act as Project Coordinator of “Chief Minister’s Self-Employment Scheme” (CMSES) – An interest free financial assistance programme of PSIC executed in Public Private Partnership mode.
 To maintain a liaison with Service Provider Organization for smooth implementation of the project.
 To maintain a liaison with Chartered Accountants Firm engaged for monitoring and third party validation of CMSES.
