THE BIOGRAPHY OF ABBA RABBITS INVESTMENT

1.0 Important Achievements
Abba Rabbits Project is a micro-livestock,small and medium enterprise.Unofficially it started on September 5,2021.Officially it was registered on November 28,2022. Initially the business was started by two people (one female-Tabitha Nancy Auma Ojuodhi and one male Vincent Ouma Ochieng).The membership increased to five(5 No.),during registration,composed of three(3 No.)males and two(2 No.)females. Currently the number stands at seven(7 No.),four(4 No.)females and three(3 No.)males.
On January 21,2022,the original initiators applied for an agricultural loan of Kshs. 800,000(USD 6,194) to suppliment the personal saving they had used for starting up the project.The loan from Agricultural Finance Corporation(Kenya)was successful.
The proceed from the loan was used to construct a 2,700sq feet rabbit pen,pay for the construction of three hundred(300) dryers wooden cages(made up of wood,wire mesh,wires and pvc,non-stick weld mesh)and finally constructed four(4)door washrooms for the workers and the family.The remainig funds were used to buy feeders,feeds and install automatic drinkers.Legally the project is now a registered partnership of seven(7) members.

Abba Rabbits project signed a farming contract with Alcare Kenya Limited on September 5,2021,for the purpose of supplying us with breeds and buying ready fryers(Kits) from us for a period of three(3) years.As at that date,sixteen(16) breeds composed of 12 does and 4 bucks have been sold to Abba Rabbits.
The business performed promisingly well for a while,with the underlisted harvests being made;
-06/04/2022-Fifty one (51),fryers weighing a total of 177.4Kg,were sold for Kshs.88,500 (USD.686)
-26/05/2022-Fifty two(52),fryers,weighing 200.9Kg,were sold for Kshs.100,450 (USD.778).
Unfortunately,the Corona virus pandemic interrupted the operation of the business such that the harvest made on 06/02/2023,only earned the business Kshs.40,000(USD.310),instead of the right income which was supposed to be Kshs.95,200(USD.738);a loss of Kshs.55,200(USD.428)

2.0 The challenges;
Underlisted are the challenges which were encountered by the project ;
a).Unpredictable market influencers like the natural disasters,for instance the Corona Virus pandemic of 2020-2023, inflicted serious harm to our business.It attacked both supply and demand domains of the business.It attacked and reduced our sale price per kilogramme of Rabbit Meat from Kshs.900(USD.7.0)to Kshs.500(USD.3.8).
b).The second challenge is difficulty in getting quality
