Paul SEMIVUMBI

SEMIVUMBI Paul is a visionary entrepreneur, educator, and innovator dedicated to transforming education through digital technology, particularly virtual reality (VR). Based in Rwanda, he is at the forefront of advancing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) by integrating digital solutions. As a key member of Rwanda’s National Technical Team for TVET Digitalization Strategy, Paul plays a crucial role in shaping the future of digital education in the country.

His expertise in TVET digitalization has earned him international recognition. He received specialized training in Dakar, Senegal, through the Pan-African Initiative for TVET Digitalization, where he gained advanced strategies for integrating technology into vocational training. His entrepreneurial spirit and innovative mindset have also been recognized on a global scale—he was a finalist in the prestigious Global Innovation through Science and Technology (GIST) competition and participated in the 2018 Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Istanbul, Turkey.

Beyond education, Paul is also a leader in the creative industries. He is the founder of 1000Hills Animation Studio, a company that initially focused on animation but has since expanded into educational game development and VR applications. Through this venture, he seeks to bridge the gap between technology and education, creating immersive learning experiences that revolutionize skill development in TVET.
