Biography:
Professor Berrached Berbar Wafaa is a faculty member in Management Sciences at the University of Tlemcen, Algeria. She currently serves as Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship Development (CDE) and as an expert at the I²E Center (Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Employability), where she plays a key role in promoting entrepreneurial culture and supporting innovation within the university ecosystem.
Her research focuses on entrepreneurship, innovation, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). She has published several papers on entrepreneurial strategies, startup development, and the growth dynamics of emerging businesses.
Her latest publication, titled “Startups’ scalability: a qualitative study of challenges, enablers, and strategic perspectives”, appeared in the South Florida Journal of Development, Vol. 6, No. 6 (2025), pp. 01–21.
Professor Berrached is actively involved in national research projects in collaboration with CREAD (Center for Research in Applied Economics for Development), as well as in international academic cooperation through ERASMUS+ programs, focusing on entrepreneurship education, academic mobility, and university-industry collaboration.
She is recognized for her strong commitment to developing the university's entrepreneurial ecosystem, fostering startup incubation, mentoring young project leaders, and bridging the gap between academia and the business world.
