Yolanda Shields

Dr. Yolanda Shields MBA, Ph.D., Founder, and CEO of YESBUILDS. A global business advisor/strategist and author with over 20 years of experience as a business leader. She is involved in consulting work in the areas of international workforce development, business startup, and social entrepreneurship work on the continent of Africa and other emerging countries. She is a much sought-after speaker and trainer in business startups, entrepreneurship ecosystems, the gig economy, workforce development, public/private partnerships, human resources, and social entrepreneurship. She has traveled extensively throughout the United States, France, and Africa. She holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Human Resources Management and, a Ph.D. in Religious Philosophy, with a concentration in Leadership.

Dr. Yolanda Shields has a mission and vision to reduce small business failure by equipping entrepreneurs with the tools and knowledge they need to start and sustain their businesses. She educates business owners on essential skills like social media marketing, human resource management, online training and development, and business strategy. She also currently faculty with Shenandoah University School of business and oversee entrepreneurship programs in the innovation center the HIVE (Hub for Innovation, Veterans and Entrepreneurship).

She has assisted over 20 corporations in the areas of business operations, workforce pipeline strategy, talent development, human capital management, strategic planning, executive coaching/training, business operations, celebrity charity management, and public/private partnerships. She is currently a mentor/coach at the Tony Elumelu Foundation, Vanderbilt University Wond’ry Innovation Center, and TheStartup.com. Yolanda is an International Member of the Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society.
