Zahid Safdar Malik Regional Director Punjab Small Industries Corporation Regional Office Gujranwala Joined PSIC Gujranwala as Assistant Director in 1996. Over time, he continued to perform his duties at various stations and positions.

In 2023, after assuming the post of Regional Director, he has taken various Development steps for his region i.e. how the urban units are going to develop industrial estates in the future, due to which their exports went from $ 150 million to $ 400 million. A Surgical city is being built on 90 acres in Sialkot, which will double their Exports.
National newspaper " Pakistan" senior journalist Iqbal Chohan pen writer talks about Regional Director Punjab Small Industries Corporation Gujranwala states that,

Regional Director Zahid Safdar Malik has taken various steps for the development of Small Industrial Estate Wazirabad (City of cutlery) to encourage and empower of Industrialist for betterment of cutlery of Pakistan which fulfill the 22-crore population of a country and export to the other countries with the worth of 143 million US Dollars.

Zahid Safdar Malik got the Achievement Award for the successfully launch of Business facilitation Center In his Region which is a flagship initiative of the Government of the Punjab to help facilitate the business community and domestic & foreign investors by providing a host of services under one roof. These services include obtaining NOCs, licenses and permits etc. necessary for starting up and up scaling business. The initiative aims at reducing business barriers by connecting multiple Government Agencies through a software application. It is anticipated that the initiative would substantially contribute to creation of an enabling environment for the businesses, thereby fostering enterprise creation and operations.

Upon the vision of CM Punjab, Regional Director Successfully implemented interest-free loans to empower the people, keeping in mind that the problems of unemployment can be overcome. Under the Punjab Green Development program (RECP) Pollution control and energy crisis (Solar Power Generation System) measures were taken, which were highly appreciated after the World Bank audit. Rice dust crises control was also done. He is also involved in solving the legitimate problems of the people on time.
He Believes that,
"Use your powers properly, make things easy for the people, become a distributor, the founder of Yaar-e-Yar, the doors of which are always open to solve the
legitimate problems of the people".

He possesses strong leadership skills i.e. Interpersonal skills, Conflict Management, Decision making and problem-solving skills and having charismatic personality to inspire and motivate others.
