I am a Chartered Accountant with over a decade of experience spanning Big Four audit, financial management, and pan-African investment engagement. My background in external audit developed strong judgment in governance, internal controls, risk management, and financial integrity. These foundations are critical when assessing operational robustness, LP/GP structures, compliance environments, and fiduciary discipline within African Investment Vehicle (IV) structures.
In recent years, my work has increasingly sat at the intersection of finance and investment. Through roles involving investor relations, deal sourcing, and the evaluation of pitch decks across African ecosystems, I have gained practical exposure to fund investment propositions and SME investment opportunities. This has included interrogating financial models, challenging commercial assumptions, and supporting transaction advisory processes. These experiences enable me to critically evaluate manager selection logic, underwriting discipline, pipeline credibility, and the financial and operational drivers of investment vehicle performance.
Alongside this, I founded Zest Strategy, a finance advisory platform aimed at supporting entrepreneurs and contributing to economic growth by improving financial readiness and strategic decision-making. Through Zest Strategy I provide targeted professional services such as business structuring and registration support, financial modelling, and transaction advisory within the scope of non-FSP regulated activities. My work often involves assisting early-stage and growth businesses to refine their financial strategies and prepare for investment or expansion.
I am also actively engaged in the African start-up and investment ecosystem through activities such as judging pitch competitions and participating in investor-focused platforms, including initiatives associated with institutions such as EDHE and AfricArena. These engagements provide ongoing exposure to emerging ventures, investment narratives, and evolving funding dynamics across the continent.
My exposure to diverse African investment ecosystems, combined with hands-on financial modelling and due diligence experience, positions me to contribute rigorously to Fund-of-Funds portfolio assessment. This includes evaluating governance effectiveness, compliance sufficiency (including AML/KYC considerations), capital structuring, and the credibility of financial and impact performance claims.
I bring analytical depth, practical investment insight, and a strong governance lens to Fund-of-Funds review processes focused on accountability, performance, and sustainable impact.
