Zhewar Qadir

Zhewar Qadir is a dedicated employment promotion advisor at GIZ Iraq supervising the MSME component at the Employment Prospects for Socioeconomic Integration (EPSI) project, bringing over a decade of experience in humanitarian work and capacity building. With a BSc in Surveying Engineering, he leads a component focusing on MSME support and employment promotion for IDPs, refugees, and vulnerable host communities including 50% women and 10% Persons with Disabilities through building and supporting the entrepreneurship ecosystem, capacity building, and financial support to the MSMEs in GIZ Iraq.

Throughout his career, Zhewar has made significant contributions to youth empowerment,
notably as a master trainer with UNFPA's Y-PEER Iraq and through his leadership and project
management at the Rwanga Foundation. His expertise spans project design and management,
curriculum development, and stakeholder engagement. He holds ToT in Coaching and Mentoring certification with AUIS-Takween Accelerator. A recent Top Participant Award winner in Agrifood Sustainability from UNIDO and EIIS.

Recently, on the reflection of his participation in the international agricultural programs, Zhewar designed Mosul Agripreneurs Skills Enhancement and Incubation program for a number of entrepreneurs at Mosul, Ninawa, as Mosul was known as the food basket of Iraq before.

Zhewar is dedicated to supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Iraq and seeking further collaboration and added values to the EPSI project target audience to leverage the capabilities of entrepreneurs in Iraq.
