Abilene Startup Community
The Development Corporation of Abilene (DCOA) is partnering with the Abilene Startup Community (ASC) to sponsor/host a luncheon to kick off the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Abilene,TX. During this lunch time meet-up, you will be treated to a great lunch at Lytle Land & Cattle while networking with startup business owners and other entrepreneurial-minded folks. There will be a "keynote" testimonial from Terry & Dusty Thompson, owners of Southern Industrial Engines in San Angelo. Join us in hearing this inspiring story from ordinary people who started with an idea and hard work. This husband/wife team built an extraordinary diesel engine service & repair business which just celebrated its 5 year anniversary. DCOA will provide a summary of their services, especially as they relate to startup initiatives. Additional brief testimonials from other members of Abilene Startup Community will be presented. Seating is limited, and preference will be given to those significantly interested in developing an entrepreneurial mindset and to those in the early stages of their own business development.
