This free public event is designed for Fort Worth-area and Amplify 817 musicians, supporters of Fort Worth music and anyone looking to dive into learning about entertainment-related legal matters. How Amplify 817 bolsters small business Amplify 817 delivers commercial-free, curated music from Fort Worth-area musicians through the Fort Worth Public Library. The streaming platform lets listeners explore the diverse sounds of the city and serves as a jumping-in point to support the melody makers themselves. Presented in partnership with Hear Fort Worth and sponsored in part by the Fort Worth Public Library Foundation, applications to join Amplify 817 are reviewed by a juried panel of local music experts. Selected musicians are paid upon acceptance to feature their music on the platform for three years and have opportunities to participate in library-sponsored public performances, professional development and media training to sharpen their marketing skills.
