Coordinating this event remotely for an audience in Botswana from Bangladesh was both a challenge and an opportunity to contribute to a global initiative that brought together brilliant minds and dynamic ideas.
Overview of GEW 2024 Celebrations
GEW 2024 was a dynamic blend of online and offline programs, successfully uniting over 50 world-class speakers and 20+ innovative startups to celebrate this year’s theme, Entrepreneurship for Everyone.
1. Online Program: Virtual masterclasses and panel discussions focused on critical themes like renewable energy, agritech, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. These sessions connected a global audience with leading experts and facilitated insightful exchanges.
2. Offline Program: The in-person events were equally engaging, with a packed venue full of participants—50% of whom were students—excited to learn and connect. Each day featured a unique theme, including workshops, exhibitions, and speeches that energized the entrepreneurial community.
3. Cultural Night: The celebration ended on a high note with a vibrant cultural night, held in partnership with YTV, showcasing Botswana's rich heritage through traditional music, dance, and cuisine. This special event was a joyful convergence of innovation and culture, leaving participants with lasting memories.
