Cheryl Jones, Economic Development Specialist and manager of the City’s Business Plan Competition, will provide an informational workshop on developing and strengthening your business plan.

Cheryl will discuss the following topics and answer viewer questions.

• Importance of having a business plan
• How to begin developing your business plan
• How to improve your business plan
• Business plan lessons learned during the Covid pandemic

Fort Worth's vibrant community of entrepreneurs is vital to making the area a hub for creative businesses, and the Business Plan Competition exists to set those entrepreneurs up for success. The Fort Worth Business Plan Competition encourages small business owners to manage and operate their business according to a written business plan, which has a positive impact on their bottom line and strengthens their ability to generate revenue and create jobs - both of which make a positive impact on the community.

The program will be moderated by staff from the Fort Worth Public Library’s Adult Services unit, which partners with the City’s Economic Development Department to provide quality business and entrepreneurship programs and resources to the community.
