Global Entrepreneurship Week 2019, Bulgaria (Summary)

For the 12th  consecutive year, JA Bulgaria hosted Global Entrepreneurship Week. In this year’s edition of the Week - 18-24 of November, over 100 schools took part in the initiative from 87 settlements. A total of 23 kindergarten also celebrated the World Entrepreneurship day. Thanks to the initiative of teachers, principals and business volunteers, nearly 5900 students from all stages of school education have touched to the Junior Achievement’s ideas about the initiative and entrepreneurial spirit.  

We thank all teachers from all over the country- over than 480 who shared with us their events and took part in the world holiday.

In total, 30 innovation camps, 68 open lessons and 3 business visiting’s were organized. Some teachers chose to celebrate the holiday in a non-standard way, sharing some of their ideas, part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week.

On the basis of the submitted reports and photos from the events, we share the number of school leaders in the number of events and students included in the initiatives:

  1. “Georgy Benkovsky” high school, Vratsa with coordinators Lilia Chausheva, Ivanka Damyanova

Participants: nearly 300 students and 13 teachers

  1. “Vasil Levsky” middle school, Burgas with teacher coordinator Nevena Koleva.

Participants: 200 students and 4 teachers

  1. “Yordan Yovkov high school, Kurdjali with teacher coordinator Leman Mehmedaly

Participants: 274 students and 17 teachers

  1. “Hristo Prodanov”high school, Karlovo with coordinators Yanka Mineva, Cvetanka Zlatanova, Nedka Conova, Finadalina Hristozova, Mariya Petrova

Participants: 134 students, 17 teachers
