Creating a Business Model

Learn to use an important tool for helping entrepreneurs design and analyze potential business models for their new venture, The Business Model Canvas. The Business Model Canvas first appeared in Alexander Osterwalder’s 2004 book, Business Model Generation. The business model provides us with a common understanding and method for examining how a new venture can create, deliver and capture value for customers and for the company. By experimenting with the BMC, we will learn: 1. The nine building blocks for developing and testing a valid business model. 2. How business model development is an iterative, experimental process. 3. How to utilize the model via printed and online tools. 4. How your business model may be your innovation, rather than your product or service
