As GEW Egypt celebrated its 12th year GEN Egypt, the host organization of GEW in Egypt shared the week's highlights.
During the opening ceremony held in cooperation with the United Nations Egypt, Essam Youssef, Presenter of "Al-Abaqera" Program & Dr. Nezar Sami, Entrepreneurship Expert launched the “17 goals program” (SDGs) in Egypt. Dr. Nabil Shalaby, Founder of Arab Entrepreneurs House presented the sixth edition of the entrepreneurship ecosystem map in Egypt.
Dr. Ghada Ali, Member of the Egyptian Parliament and Ms. Sandra Farid, Adviser to the Minister of Tourism attended.
Egypt Entrepreneurship Summit (attendees included Dr. Nevine Gamea, Minister of Trade and Industry, Louis Dumas, Ambassador of Canada, Christian Berger, EU Ambassador to Egypt, Peter Van Rooij, Deputy Regional Director Africa, International Labour Organization) took place as part of the week in El Gouna.
NAWAH, the Egyptian Innovation Award for Social Entrepreneurship, an annual opportunity for entrepreneurs to compete in a country-wide challenge, to show-case their business idea and projects also took place during the week.
