As part of Egypt's Global Entrepreneurship Week activities, GEN Egypt's Managing Director, Ahmed Osman, hosted the lead organizers of GEW activities in war torn Sudan as part of the online series “GEW Talks.”
Despite the civil war and curfew in place, Elsheikh Helal, and his team organized several GEW activities in Sudan. These included entrepreneurship awareness sessions, business planning workshops and events focused on women entrepreneurs. A webinar focused on youth, highlighted the resilience of young Sudanese entrepreneurs as they moved forward building new businesses despite the circumstances and their work preparing for the day when the war is over. The GEW Talk also showcased the work of Sudanese entrepreneurs who have moved to Egypt and established businesses in the country during the past year.
GEN Egypt wishes all the people of Sudan a safe, effective, peaceful and enduring resolution to the ongoing conflict!
