Escape From Goldsmiths' EMO

This exhibition is about telling, listening and healing.

"EMO" is a buzzword  for describing negative emotions. We are going to display over 30 items with stories, about how people get through all the negative emotions, such as sad, anxious, disappointed, lost, confused, etc., and how they get healed.

The exhibition is divided into three spaces by the level of EMO.

Soft Blue: a little bit frustrated/ unhappy
Blue: being haunted for a while
Dark Blue: a long depressed mood/ depression

Each space has stories of people who have experienced this level of EMO, but who have somehow managed to escape from it. If you have had a similar experience or mood and want to escape from EMO, you can contact the owners of these stories and talk to them.

We would also set up a ‘telling space’ for visitors to write down their own stories. You can choose an emotion card for your story and leave your contact details if you want to make friends.
