Fight for the Right to Start: Expanding Entrepreneurial Opportunity for All

The barriers to entrepreneurship are too high.

That conviction inspired Victor Hwang to write We Are All Starters, a manifesto calling for a recognized right to start new things and invest in our communities.

Since then, Right to Start has emerged as a singular voice in advocating for concrete policy initiatives that would lower the barriers to entry for entrepreneurs, such as: 

• Eliminating business registration fees
• Offering healthcare benefits for workers in transition
• Allocating 5% of federal economic development funding to the start of new businesses.
