Echar Pa'lante, in collaboration with the Thunderbird School of Global Management, brings to you a chance to deep-dive the most consequential disruption in the world of technology since the invention of the internet - Artificial Intelligence (AI).

AI will change every business sector and every job description in the next decade. The question is not how AI will affect our core business: instead, the question is how will we use AI to serve our purpose. How will entrepreneurship adapt to this new wave of technological innovation?

The unprecedented speed of deployment and adoption of artificial intelligence in all business sectors in 2023 has raised the question of how AI will affect traditional family businesses. Some of these new products may increase efficiencies and productivity, but others may pose a clear threat to entire business sectors and roles within companies. Many families are challenged to make decisions on resource allocation to investigate and invest in new AI-based technologies and are eager to understand the repercussions of AI adoption in company culture, core business differentiation, employee safety, and intergenerational dynamics.

Members of family businesses and enterprises, family offices, and executives in charge of strategic decisions on innovation and adoption of new technology are urged to participate. Participation by multiple generations and members of each family is encouraged.

Attendees will learn through practice content how AI can guide them through key, time-sensitive decisions. Join us to explore:

  • Where to start? Which specific AI solutions are ripe for application for their family businesses? What are the requirements for AI adoption in terms of staffing, infrastructure, and capital?
  • Who should lead the transition to the AI era? What intergenerational dynamics are at play?
  • How to train and upskill family members and employees to reap the efficiency gains provided by AI.
  • How to protect our employees and organizations from the threats posed by AI in terms of privacy and displacement.
