Global Entrepreneurship Week USA Summit

Global Entrepreneurship Week is a massive campaign to celebrate and empower entrepreneurs in every country and community around the world – especially those individuals who face structural barriers or may have never considered the idea of launching a startup. Each November, thousands of events throughout the United States form the backbone of a national GEW campaign to provide millions of Americans with the knowledge, experience and connections they need to succeed.

Global Entrepreneurship Week reaches beyond high-tech startup hubs like Silicon Valley and shines a spotlight on emerging ecosystems like San Juan, Fort Worth and Kansas City. It envisions one entrepreneurial ecosystem open to all whether systemically marginalized, geographically hard-to-reach or otherwise pushed aside or left out. National campaigns are driven by local event organizers who tailor events to their community’s needs.

Kicked off by Jonathan Ortmans, founder of Global Entrepreneurship Week, and led by Cecilia Wessinger and Garry Lyon, the GEW USA Summit will examine best-in-class campaigns and explore the key building blocks and milestones for a successful GEW 2024.

The summit is open to all who wish to attend – even the uninitiated looking for information on how to get involved.

Attendees will explore:

• Recruiting credible partners that help you reach target communities and implement the campaign activities
• Rallying as many event organizers as possible
• Engaging celebrities, government officials and brands that appeal to target audiences
• Collecting metrics for future improvement and resource recruitment
• Unearthing heartfelt stories, and
• Scaling a media and social media footprint
