GEN Sierra Leone will align the major entrepreneurial ecosystem actors in one inclusive effort where all boats rise on the incoming tide of support for entrepreneurs. Through this alignment, GEN Sierra Leone will streamline efforts, minimizing competition, and maximizing impact. Our alignment role will play to the strengths of the current actors and their current roles.
Gen Sierra Leone will provide national leadership through:
- A strong governing Board of Directors that ensures GEN Sierra Leone is focused on outputs and has impact
- A broad-based Advisory Board that includes all ecosystem voices and communities and ensures GEN Sierra Leone ability to streamline efforts, minimize competition, and maximize impact
- Convening and connecting ecosystem actors
- Amplifying outreach and increasing awareness
- Evaluating and endorsing tried and tested programs
- Serving as a source of quantifiable data and qualitative information
- Acting as a hub for sharing knowledge and experience
GEN Sierra Leone will leverages GEN Global programs and initiatives including:
Global competitions – Startup Open, GITR, Creative Business Cup, Cleantech Open Global Ideas, Challenge Cup
Live international events such as the flagship GEC, the Startup Nations Summit, GEC+ and GEN Regional Meetups
A constant flow of new best-in-class entrepreneur support programs – including GBAN, Startup Compete, Startup Huddle, GEN Starters Club,
Research and Policy development and advocacy through Startup Nations, GERN and GEN research resources such as the GEI and independent Kauffman Foundation research.
