Getting Ready to Access Startup Capital

LISC Greater Kansas City is launching a Start-Up Capital Access Initiative to provide targeted Micro-Equity grants and technical assistance to women and BIPOC entrepreneurs through our local business development organization network. Along with our partners, Prospect Business Association and The Toolbox, we will identify and vet recipients and recommend grants based on a simplified startup capital application, supplemented by financial literacy, finance education and one-on-one mentoring and additional technical assistance. This panel discussion will highlight the design and approach of this program, emphasizing the improtance of business readiness and ongoing technical assistance to ensuring small business longevity and success.
