Website | Flyer | 2018 Toolkit
DECA is excited to bring you another year of the DECA Idea Challenge, a fast-paced experiential learning exercise that dares elementary, secondary and college students to find an innovative new use for a common, everyday item in just eight days! This year’s mystery item is PAPER CLIPS!
A premier event of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), the competition is a fun and exciting opportunity for students to be imaginative and resourceful while learning about the entrepreneurial process. To participate, students must:
- Organize a team
- Generate an original use for the challenge item
- Create a video pitch of invention
- Submit entry online by the deadline
One elementary or middle school, one high school and one college or university team will be recognized as DECA Idea Challenge global winners! Each team will receive an award and be featured on both the DECA Inc. and Global Entrepreneurship Week websites.
DECA membership is not a requirement to participate in the competition, so be sure to tell everyone you know about this compelling idea generator! You don’t want to miss out! For additional information, please contact Adrienne Burda at adrienne_burda@deca.org.
Once the mystery item is revealed, and you have completed your project, submit your entry online here.
