Iacocca International Internships Application: Global Entrepreneurship Internship Program

The Global Entrepreneurship Internship Program is a partnership between the Lehigh@NasdaqCenter (L@NC), Lehigh’s Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, and Lehigh’s Office of International Affairs.

The purpose of the Global Entrepreneurship Internship Program is to immerse Lehigh students in a rich startup ecosystem and to expose them to entrepreneurial experiences in another culture. The location is New Delhi, India, where entrepreneurial activity is on the rise and connections to the startup ecosystem exist through the L@NC partnership. A cohort of Lehigh students will participate in an eight-week internship experience with entrepreneurial companies in India that will be identified through the L@NC partnership. The Global Entrepreneurship Internship Program will kickoff with a 3-day workshop at the L@NC in San Francisco, preparing the students for their international internship experience.

The 3-day workshop in San Francisco leading up to the internship experience will be designed to focus on three aspects: a) Preparing students through cultural and business insights, b) preparing students for the internship with his/her host company, c) comparing and contrasting entrepreneurship in the US and India; and d) building a sense of community among the student cohort.

Once the student interns arrive in India, they will be working a full time, scheduled work week at the company’s site. Students will be required to write a weekly blog post throughout the internship program and participate in a post internship debrief session on campus, early in the Fall 2018 semester.
