Joanne Entwistle. The Fashioned Body. Current debates and developments

Publication of the third edition of The Fashioned Body in 2023 provides me with the opportunity to reflect upon the field of fashion studies since the book was first published in 2000. While much of the core argument in the book remains relevant to understanding fashion and dress today, several important debates over the last decade or so have required reflection and revision of some earlier positions taken in the book over 20 years ago.
