Amman – Minister of Youth, Dr. Raed Sami Al-Adwan, on Wednesday patronized the Entrepreneurship Forum, organized by the Ministry of Youth through the Directorate of Initiatives and Voluntary Work, as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week celebrations. The event brought together more than 600 young entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises, with the attendance of Minister of Labor Dr. Khaled Al-Bakhar, Director General of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development Abdel-Fattah Al-Kayed, Director General of the Al Hussein Fund for Excellence Dr. Ali Yaghi, along with representatives of government institutions, international organizations, and private-sector companies.
In his remarks, Dr. Al-Adwan emphasized that Global Entrepreneurship Week represents an important opportunity to celebrate innovative youth ideas, noting that entrepreneurship, education, and technology are key pillars in the National Youth Strategy, which guides the ministry’s programs and initiatives across its directorates and youth centers. He highlighted the forum’s role in fostering networking between young entrepreneurs and supporting institutions.
The forum featured a series of panel discussions, beginning with a session on motivational enhancement, with speakers including Dr. Bilal Al-Wadi, Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Al-Zaytoonah University; Mohammad Obeidat, Director of the Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship at Princess Sumaya University for Technology; Dr. Noor Khreis, CEO of Maysalward; and Eng. Fadi Marji, Director General of Evergreen Investment.
A second panel titled “The Power of Technology in Business Development” included speakers Jasser Al-Harasis from Robtona, Eng. Farah Ouda from Darb Co., and Eng. Batoul Al-Rashdan, founder of B.O.R. The session, moderated by Eng. Farah Khreis, explored how digital tools can enhance project quality, increase market reach, and support tech-driven solutions to challenges facing entrepreneurial sectors.
The event also included an exhibition showcasing entrepreneurial projects from universities, innovation centers, and youth-led small and medium enterprises. Minister Al-Adwan toured the exhibition and explored the various participating ventures.
