Ongwediva Startup Huddle The startup huddle started off with an Online Chat event on the 21st November 2020 were different startup experiences were being shared. We had interesting topic from various speakers from Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Mrs. Inonge Imasiku Kampamba a founder of Mangwee Mobile Payment Zambia shared information on how to generate a business idea with participant during the Online Chat. She highlighted the key step to generate the business idea which Finding the problem, defining your target market, building your network, defining the market, market analysis and idea implementation. Another speaker from Zambia Vwanganji Bowa: CEO Mighty Finance Solution Zambia discussed “Product Market Fit” and how it is crucial for startups to ensure that they are building a product/services that the target customer need and will utilize. Tariro Matambanadzo: From Ruva Cosmetics Zimbabwe shared with the participants about various untapped opportunities in Africa and advised them that in order for one to be open to new opportunity one has to let go of their ego and not assume that we know it all. The discussion was concluded by Victoria Joel Co-Founder of Circle of Hope Academy (Namibia) who touched on the importance of “Business Networking.” The Director of GEN Namibia Miss Johanna Cloete was also present during the online chat. We would like to thank the speakers for availing time to share during the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020. The day was concluded with a Fireside Chat at Agelvipa Online Office in Ongwediva and micro women traders showed up for the event as well as some aspiring entrepreneurs. During the Fireside Chat we had speakers from the Namibia Chambers of Commerce Industry (NCCI) Satellite branch who gave participants words of encouragement and who shared their entrepreneurship journey, this was followed by light refreshments and networking. It was great to be part of GEW 2020.
