Mentor Match

Start the day with coffee, bagels, and a room full of people worth meeting. Mentor Match Up brings college students from across Columbia together with business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals for ten quick, three-minute conversations. After each conversation, everyone rotates and meets someone new.

No preparation. No pitch. No homework. Just show up, grab a coffee, and be ready to connect.

Mentor Match Up is open to college students from across Columbia as student mentees. Community business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals are invited to participate as mentors. Please do not sign up to be a mentee if you are not a student.

After the hour, students and mentors will have the opportunity to identify the people they’d like to keep talking to, and the GIN team will help facilitate those follow-up introductions.

A week before Entrepreneurship in Education Day, registered participants will receive a directory of attendees so you can see who’s joining and come in with a few people in mind.

Entrepreneurship in Education Day, a part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, is Tuesday, November 17, 2026, in Columbia, Missouri, hosted by the Griggs Innovators Nexus (GIN) with the University of Missouri, Columbia College, and Stephens College.

By registering, you agree that the GIN team may share your name and email address with the specific people you select for follow-up. Your name, campus or organization, role, and short bio will also appear in the attendee directory shared with registered participants. GIN will delete the event roster and response data by February 28, 2027.
