An Affiliate of the Global Entrepreneurship Network
GEN Malaysia
GEN began operating in Malaysia in 2008 when it partnered with Warisan Global to launch Global Entrepreneurship Week. The campaign was an immediate success, increasing awareness of entrepreneurship and supporting local founders. GEN Malaysia was established in 2018 as GEN's national affiliate to lead programming that ensures local founders are connected to a global network of mentors and investors. As Malaysia’s ecosystem matured, GEN began operating global startup competitions in 2019 in partnership with Startupscale360 FZE. Malaysia's National Entrepreneurship Policy 2030 targets nurturing 50,000 entrepreneurs. With bridging programs and capacity development for local startups. GEN is an important part of Malaysia's effort to became a global entrepreneurship leader.
