NorCal Make a Thon

MAKE-A-THON is an event designed to encourage inventive ideas and test the limits of what people can do in creating connected / smart devices using the resources available at Inventopia, and the intuitive no-code Bekonix platform.

DATES & TIMES: This is a four-day event, occurring Saturdays from 2-6 PM at Inventopia.

BREAKOUT EVENTS:

• Technology and Design Clinics. Featuring Bekonix Designer, "Software that Makes Hardware". A breakthrough no-code platform that allows users to simply drag and drop components to create connections and triggers events using an intuitive timeline approach. Learn more.
• In-progress Feedback. Mentors from maker spaces and technology firms will be on-hand to provide invaluable advice on creating, designing, marketing, and more.
• Dedicated "Fab Days". Hands-on with Inventopia's lasers, mills, 3D Printers, and more. Learn more.
• Make your own T-shirt: Part of your ticket price includes everything needed to make a unique T-shirt designed and printed by you! Please be sure to select your shirt size during the check-out process as an "add-on".
• Final Presentations & Awards: You get to see what everyone else created over the course of the event. Door prizes will be awarded on the last day of the event Saturday, December 3.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Age Range: Minors under 14 are welcome and are free with accompanying adult. (But they must have the accompanying adult).
• Waiver: All participants will be required to sign a waiver upon entrance to the event.
