• Who we are:

COFFEE RESURRECT is the first Biotech company in Africa to create Personal care, Nutraceuticals and Food ingredients from coffee waste, also known as spent coffee grounds sustainably.

• What we make:

Our products are ethically and sustainably sourced inputs for end- product manufacturers to make sun care, ageing treatment, skin barrier enhancement, anti-cellulite, in night and day creams, serums and face oils, lip balms, shampoos, conditioners and scalp revitalizers, hand creams and lotions, scrubs, soaps and cleansing gel and cleansers with natural exfoliating agent in personal care application. Our products also suitable and key ingredients in food and beverages application for gluten-free, high-protein recipes, high fiber content used in bakery, confectionery, pizza and pasta, sports nutrition, and healthy snack bars.

• Why up-cycle coffee waste:

Over 9 billion KG of coffee consumed yearly worldwide and 99% of that become spent coffee grounds, currently treated as waste. Most of it ends in landfills where it decomposes and releases Methane, a greenhouse gas 86x more harmful to the environment than CO2. 1 ton of coffee waste decomposition creates 340m2 of Methane hitting the environment and also the potential threat to human life. Many severe health problems like skin irritation, stomach pain, nausea and breathing problem among the residents of nearby areas and causes environmental, soil and water Pollutions. The yearly environmental impact of coffee waste decomposition is equivalent to 10 million car emissions.

• Our Mission:

Our mission is to unlock coffee's health potential where harmful emissions are minimized and coffee’s by-product usability is maximized. By extending coffee's economical life, we will be able to give back to the people we owe its existence; farmers. For example: we are sourcing a coffee waste for some of our product lines from coffee farmers so, small scale farmers will have an additional income sources.
