Women in Digital

Woman in Digital is a Bangladeshi initiative.  Woman in Digital is a drive of a social enterprise that has prompted programs to help women by providing access to Digital Platform. Their aim is to create a network for women to get them engaged with all creative sectors by improving their skills. They inspire and encourage women to unleash their capacity in IT industries so that they can be economically and socially sustainable. Their vision and mission is to empower accomplishments of women across the country through ICT and inspire them to achieve extraordinary socio-economic outcomes.      Some examples of digital skill development initiatives include: Digital Production and marketing, Game design and development, software development, mobile and web application are one of their products and services. WID has highly motivated and skilled Product Development Team comprising of all women around the country. They provide some essential IT training for women and mentor (international and local) for career counseling as well. And not to forget, more than hundred campus and community leads are working for their cause diligently. Women in E-Commerce, SheforHe, Women Entrepreneur development, Leadership development, Digital innovation challenge for Women 2016 are one of their remarkable works.   One of the most remarkable accomplishments is successful organization of “National Hackathon for Women 2017” 1st time in Bangladesh and Bangladesh government ICT ministry has been supporting them for this initiative. In addition, WID campaign “Empowerment through Technology”   which is an awareness campaign for encouraging tech career. WID’s initiative on ICT Career Camp is noteworthy.
