BID Lab would become the main anchor investor of IThink VC, with a total investment of up to US$ 3 million through the signing of an agreement between IDB Lab and iThink VC, an entrepreneurial capital fund focused on early-stage technology startups.
IThink VC focuses on countries with emerging innovation ecosystems such as Paraguay, Uruguay, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Peru. The collaboration between BID Lab and IThink VC aims to accelerate the development of evolving ecosystems, like that of Paraguay, bringing smart capital and international expansion opportunities to entrepreneurs.
Congratulations to the co-founders of IThink VC, Jazmín Gustale Gill and Juan Cruz Valdez Rojas, as well as the team that accompanies them for being the first Paraguayan VC to receive funds from BID Lab. Success for the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Paraguay.
The signing ceremony was presided over by Edna Armendáriz, Representative of the IDB Group in Paraguay who thanked the Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Finance - Paraguay, Carlos Fernández Valdovinos, for accompanying the space as well as signifying the visit of Magdalena Coronel, Head of the Investment Unit of BID Lab for joining this very important moment for the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Paraguay, as well as thanking Luis Alejandro Fernandez Zang and María de Fátima Torales, from the BID Lab team in Paraguay!
