GEN Paraguay has reaffirmed its active role within Paraguay’s national entrepreneurial ecosystem by securing continued membership on the Board of Representatives of the National Entrepreneurship Network (Red PyEmprende) for the 2026 term. This position grants GEN Paraguay a seat on the Entrepreneurship Consultative Council (CCEEP) — a key governance body responsible for shaping and advancing policies that foster entrepreneurial culture across the country.
New Leadership and Renewed Legal Framework
The 2026 cycle marks a significant renewal for the CCEEP, now operating under the direction of Ms. Romina Da Re, newly appointed Director of DINAEM (National Directorate of Entrepreneurship and MSMEs). Her leadership, channeled through the Vice Ministry of MSMEs within the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC), plays a central role in implementing Law No. 5669/2019 “On the Promotion of Entrepreneurial Culture” — the legal cornerstone underpinning the Network’s mission.
A Representative and Decentralized Council
The strength of the Network lies in its capacity to coordinate diverse stakeholders under a shared vision. The Consultative Council brings together leading organizations from across multiple sectors, ensuring a comprehensive, 360° perspective on Paraguay’s entrepreneurial landscape:
- Universidad Nacional de Itapúa (UNI): Academic Sector
- ASEPY: Guilds and Business Associations
- Cooperativa Sagrados Corazones Ltda.: Private Sector
- SNPP: Public Sector
- GEN Paraguay: Civil Society / Non-Governmental Organizations
- Universidad Nacional del Este (UNE): Interior Regions of Paraguay
This multi-sector structure ensures that the Network has genuine national reach, integrating the voices and talents of Paraguay’s diverse regions.
Building a High-Impact Ecosystem
Red PyEmprende currently unites 41 full member organizations with a shared ambition: to position entrepreneurship as Paraguay’s primary engine of socioeconomic development. The 2026 agenda is focused on deepening strategic alliances, expanding access to training and mentorship, and strengthening institutional frameworks — so that every Paraguayan entrepreneur has a genuine opportunity to scale their venture.
“As part of the Network’s Board, we are energized by the commitment of all members to formalize and elevate our ecosystem under the new leadership of Ms. Romina Da Re. The collaboration between academia, the public sector, and private enterprise is what will enable local talent to transcend borders. Let’s keep building — together!”
— Roberto Urbieta, Managing Director, GEN Paraguay
